Because your child forming a belief system and mindset for life, through Baseball/Softball, is urgent!
…and from my experience, parents need a nudge to really get that.
Through their desire to perform better in their sport is the only way you are going to get your kids to work on their mental game.
What if they quit sports in the near future?
Your window is closing fast to have an influence on your child’s ability to create success for him/herself.
You need to understand something… people have an amazing ability to cope with problems they haven’t been able to resolve. Most of us do get through our childhood and teen years reasonably ok while carrying around emotional scars and destructive beliefs into adulthood, that’s true.
But think of all the negative stuff you carry around in your mind right now and ask yourself how your life might have been so much better without it, huh? Don’t be in denial thinking your kid is doing “just fine.”
And besides, don’t you remember that time when your kid came home from practice or a game and was just beaming from ear to ear and talking non-stop in happiness about how he/she played that day or how they made the team or got praise from the coach, etc.
Why would you wait to give them MORE of those moments? Jump on this now, even if it’s not the best time for your kid to go through the training because of other time obligations. You have access to it for life.
